Seven years ago, FTSQ was born with a fire to champion the non-conformists, the bold, brilliant, beautifully unorthodox humans trying to build something on their own terms. Since then, it’s been one hell of a ride.
This anniversary blog is a celebration of everything we’ve survived, everything we’ve built, and everything that’s still to come. Our Boss Lady Lena Robinson shares the deeply personal, wildly unpredictable story behind FTSQ’s journey, from launching the consultancy, riding out illness and reinvention, to reigniting a vision that’s bigger, braver and more alive than ever.
If you’ve ever felt too much, too honest or too different, this one’s for you.
Read this and celebrate the start of FTSQ’s next chapter.
The FTSQ Podcast is relaunching and we’re going to celebrate non-conformists, like we always have, in all their messiness.
So, who’s first up on the mic?
Our founder and host Lena Robinson is kicking off with four brilliant minds:
Bernie Mitchell - community builder, coworking disruptor and proof that kindness and rebellion go hand in hand (Publication date due Friday 18th July 2025)
Sangeeta Pillai - founder of Soul Sutras and Masala Podcast, giving an unapologetic voice to South Asian women globally. (Publication date due Friday 25th July 2025)
Haihaou Liu - a strategist who blends business and creativity like a master alchemist. (Publication date due Friday 1st August 2025)
Dada Jyotirupananda - a yogic monk bringing Eastern wisdom into the West’s noisy chaos. (Publication date due Friday 8th August 2025)
We hope you enjoy what’s coming at you every Friday from 18th July 2025.
Asking for help can give me ‘the ick’ big time, but here’s the thing, I’ve had to learn, there are times in our lives when we need support and guidance to help us make sense of the jumbled thoughts racing around our heads.
In this blog I look at three main things
How to get over yourself?
How do you ask for help?
Who do you ask?
This blog isn’t about being ill, it’s about the lessons I’ve received every day since. I’M LEARNING TO BE KIND TO LENA. That sounds simple enough doesn’t it? I promise you, it’s been nothing of the sort, but if you read this blog I hope you can shortcut your mental and physical wellness journey by applying at least some of the tips and tricks I’ve learned.
Our ‘Boss Lady’ Lena Robinson provides a brutally honest, revealing story about her struggles with Bipolar, anxiety and agoraphobia. Many people, non-conformists in particular, struggle with their mental health. Lena wrote this, not only because it was mental health week this week, but because she wants others to know, they are not alone, that you can get through whatever you are dealing with and that asking for help is the opposite of weak. It is actually brave and powerful to allow yourself to be vulnerable in front of others and that looking after your physical and mental well-being is paramount to a balanced, healthy, wonderful life.
